This Privacy Policy describes how BillEase (“we”, “the app”) handles information when you use our mobile application.
By using BillEase, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What we collect and why
- Account & sign-in. We use Firebase Authentication (Google LLC). You may sign in with Apple or Google.
Those providers share with us identifiers and, depending on your choices, your name and email address, to create and secure your account.
- Profile & username. You choose a display username so others can invite you to shared ledgers. We store this with your account in our backend.
- App data. Ledger entries, accounts, members, and related data you enter are stored to provide sync and sharing features (e.g. Google Firebase / Firestore).
- Device tokens (optional). If you enable notifications, we may store a push token so we can send alerts about shared activity, using Firebase Cloud Messaging.
- Usage analytics. We may collect coarse in-app usage events such as screen views, sign-in completion, account creation, or reminder permission results to understand which features are used and improve the app. We do not use analytics events to store bill names, notes, amounts, usernames, or email addresses.
- Diagnostics. We may collect crash reports and limited error diagnostics to detect failures, improve reliability, and troubleshoot issues. These reports are intended to avoid including the financial content you enter in the app.
- Feedback you send us. If you use the in-app feedback form, we store the message you submit, its category, and optional contact email, along with app version and device details you choose to send as part of that request.
Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
Where required, we process data to perform our contract with you (provide the service) and for our legitimate interests in operating and securing the app.
Retention & deletion
We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service.
You may request deletion of your account or data by contacting us at the email above; we will respond in line with applicable law.
Children
BillEase is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International transfers
Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries where they operate.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
